Watergate’s Les Miserables was superb!!!

A huge well done from all at Starlight to the cast, crew and production team of Les Miserables staged by Watergate Productions. The show was outstanding from start to finish. A number of Starlight students past and present were in the leading cast and they all did wonderful jobs in some of musical theatres toughest roles.

Larchfield student Neal Fennelly was alternate Gavroche sharing the role with Puppy Love performer Alan Hayes. Former students who also featured in the production included Jamie O’Brien as Thenadier, Shona Lanigan as Eponine, Hazel Doyle as Madame, Eve Brennan, Kate O’Connor, Emmeliene Farrell and Bridget Cody who have all played roles in Starlight musicals in the past. We wish them all well in their future careers.

Mary Craddock and Olivia Smith co-directed the production to an extremely high level and musical direction came from Jacinta Cantwell assisted by Martin O’Reilly. You just couldnt find flaws with the show and the audiences were left speechless. It was great to see this world class show being brought to the Watergate and for it to be so succesful.
