Dancewise Academy
A Kilkenny City and Thomastown based group Dancewise has over 200 young people currently registered. They do all types of dance but specialise in Hip Hop, Rock and Roll, Disco, Latin Tap and Jazz. The group was formed in 2000 by Michele Wise an 
All-Ireland Winning Hip Hop Dance Instructor. Michele had previously run the Vibes Dance Team which had huge success at competitions at all levels during the 90’s. Now Michele has enlisted the skills of other teachers who all bring a little bit of their own styles into the Dancewise group..
Dancewise have appeared on Sattitude on RTE Television, won first prize in the Groups section of St Patricks Day Parades, taken part in events such as the Market Cross 10th Anniversary Party and the St Patricks Centre Fun Day as well as appearing as a guest group in the 2006 Watergate Theatre Pantomime Beauty and the Beast. They have staged their own dance and variety shows annually and since 2004 have staged these shows at the end of June at the Watergate Theatre -
Dancewise Academy’s next show “YOU CANT TOUCH THIS” is on from Thursday 21st - Saturday 23rd of June 2007 and will feature dances from Dirty dancing, High School Musical, Chicago, Micheal Jackson, Wicked the Muscial, Usher, Missy Elliott and Justin Timberlake.
